Even if you do not feel like driving further away, there is plenty to do, see and live in our immediate area. Following are but a few ideas of how to fill your time if you want more than just a swim.

While in the area, it is advisible to also visit the legendary Souli area. Souli comprises of several mountainous villages, of great historic value. This area was only conquered by the ottoman empire shortly before the revolution, in 1803. Interesting sights are: The Kiafas castle (built by Ali Pasha once he conquered the area to fortify it against the Souliotes), the legendary Kougki (set on fire by monk Samuel in 1803 during the war) and many byzantine chapels and medieval stone bridges. Each year, at the last Sunday of May, memorials take place in the area to honor the fight of the local revolutionaries.
In the wider Perdika area there is following interesting sites: Dimokastro, which is the location of ancient Elina (visible part of structures at the location- fortifications, a temple, public buildings), the Agios Athanasios park by the river, the Museum of Foklore.
While in the area, following sites are worth visiting: Giromeri monastery (built in 1285), byzantine churches in the traditional settlements of Kamitzani, Kokkino Lithari, Faneromeni, Tsamantas, Plaisio, Foiniki, folklore museums in Tsamantas and Finiki, Doliani castle at Parapotamos village and other important sites.
An boat trip along the river is a great opportunity to visit the location of ancient Titani, with visible ruins. Also, in the same area, visit the Ragiou Tower, byzantine tower, the Kalamas river dam, and, of course, snack on shrimps at the Sagiada promenade.
